Parents,

Your child is responsible to obtain 50 AR points by the end of the first semester. In order to do this your child  needs to read outside of the Prime Classroom. We do have about 25 quality minutes in class, but it is not enough. Students should have at least 10 points, by now, to stay on track.

How you can help  your child in this endeavor:

Provide a quiet environment for reading ( and homework)

Request that your child creates an after school schedule that builds in reading time

Read as a family so they can see the importance of literature

Have your child sign on to Accelerated Reader so that you can see his/her progress. They can not take

tests at home, but you can track your child’s progress.
